Mixed methods were used to achieve this research goal. The qualitative procedure explored seven vital attributes of green indoor atmospherics that both hotel guests and employees perceive as being critical. The attributes were categorized into green ambient conditions, green items, and green spaces/areas. Our quantitative process revealed that performance of these green indoor atmospherics is essential in generating mental well-being, place dependence, and behavioral intentions among guests and employees, and that mental well-being and place dependence maximized the effect of its predictors on intentions. In addition, the strength of the green ambient conditions, mental well-being, and intention relationships significantly differed across occupant types.
